I have always loved music.  For as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed singing.  I started piano lessons in the third grade, and I took some voice lessons in high school and college.  Throughout high school I was involved in choir and took part in musical productions of Fiddler on the Roof and The Sound of Music.  I started playing guitar in college and continue to enjoy learning new songs and techniques.  More recently, I have also delved into songwriting.  I post videos of my original songs as well as cover songs on my YouTube channel.

Although music is my passion, I have always been more comfortable behind-the-scenes.   Still, I knew that I wanted to study something related to music.  With the Music Business and Production program at Old Dominion University, I have been able to apply my love for music to these behind-the-scenes aspects of the industry.

While I have interests in other aspects of the industry, I do hope to become more comfortable with performing.  Over the last few years I have sung several times at my church.  I have realized that, with practice, I could one day enjoy performing in front of large groups.
